Group of Four Apple Green and Gold Footed Dishes. England, early 19th century. Dish and stepped foot with scalloped rim, and fairly shallow bowl (fruit plates?). Foot rim, tondo border, and cavetto neatly gilt and stylish. Each dish with attractive, different river or water scene. These labeled as: "Near Loch Tay," "Banks of Esk," "Stockly Beck," and "On the Rhine." Each of these followed by the number 648. Dishes very fine plus, free of chips or repairs, with only an occasional scratch here or there, and one with a little rubbing in the scene. Height: 2-5/8"; Diameter: 8-7/8". Colorful and choice! Lot of 4 items.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,250.
From the estate of Marion Davies (companion of William Randolph Hearst), which the famous magician, Blackstone, purchased in the 1940's. Subsequently, ex Blackstone estate.

Royal Apricot and Gold Porcelain Tea Service Bowl. Flight & Barr, London. Georgian England, c. 1795. The rather deep bowl on short ring foot. The apricot borders overlaid with gilded floral vines and arabesques, which center on one side a hexagonal cartouche with English cottage view, in sepia grisaille. Painted on the bottom, a crown, beneath which: "Barr, Flight & Barr, Worcester / Flight & Barr, Coventry, London / Manufacturer to their Majesties & Royal Family." Bowl excellent, with only light wear just beginning to show at the rim gilding. Height: 3-1/4"; Diameter: 6". Comes with the 1945 Park-Bernet catalog. Elegant!

Columbian World's Fair Glass: Lot of 2 Pieces. U.S. made, 1892-1893. One a small rectangular container for holding toothpicks. The corners and feet arched, along with four ruby-flashed "coins" depicting Christopher Columbus and "Americus Vespucius," with American and Spanish coat-of-arms reverses. Holder 3" high; Width: 2". Along with this, a kerosene lamp base in molded white opaque glass -- with ornate moldings and floral emblems. The stem of its high foot with 6 coins of the type seen on the toothpick holder, only smaller, and these apparently once-gilded. Lamp very fine, with only three or four hardly noticeable chips on the underside of the foot. Height: 8-1/4". Lot of 2 items.
